Congressional Art Show

Join us for the Congressional Art Competition, an art exhibit featuring artwork from local middle school students!

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Students submit entries to their representative’s office, and panels of district artists select the winning entries. Winners are recognized both in their district and at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, DC, where the winning works are displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol.

The reception takes place on Thursday, May 4 from 5:30 - 7 PM at Land O’ Lakes High School in the Culinary Institute on campus.

There are several little artists from Hernando County participating, so be sure to come show some support!

Thank you to the office of Congressman Bilirakis for their hard work on this competition!
