Frequently Asked Questions
Does each piece of artwork need its own form?
Yes. If a student enters 2 pieces of Art, use 2 entry forms). You may deliver the student entry forms when you set up at the show.
When can I hang the art?
You may hang the art on Friday, March 10 from 2 PM - 6 PM, and on Saturday, March 11 from 8 AM - 10 AM. The show starts at 10 AM and the judging starts around 11 AM.
Does the art need to be framed?
No. Framing is allowed, but not required. The artwork should at least be matted with a backing, or taped well to a larger, heavier paper such as poster board.
In the past, I submitted murals and projects… Can I do that again this year?
Bring them... We'll try to make room for everything!
Do we bring the artwork to the show and hang it as well?
Yes, you do have to bring your work to the park and hang it in the appropriate areas. Sandy (Student Art Show Coordinator) will be there with volunteers to assist you. Please bring the work that is ready-to-hang, and securely mounted to hang for two days. It’s always fun to hang the work, connect with fellow students, and teachers, and award your “Teachers Choice” ribbons if you are a teacher! Clips will be available as well as hooks to help hang framed work that has wire for hanging. If work is framed you should have some way to hang it, like wire.
Can high school students get volunteer hours?
We love having student volunteers Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and Sunday. Students can apply to volunteer with us at this link. Mention the Student Art Show in the comments section to be placed in this area of the show!
Who can I contact with additional questions?
