Media Release: Arts Council Opens Applications for the 2024 Community Arts Grants Program

Subject: Arts Council Opens Applications for the 2024 Community Arts Grants Program
The Hernando County Fine Arts Council (HCFAC) is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 Community Arts Grants (CAG) and invites any Hernando County education, art, civic or cultural organization recognized as a non-profit or charitable group to apply. This grant program aims to empower nonprofits to involve county residents in creating, appreciating, supporting, participating in, or learning about the creative arts in Hernando County by providing them with financial support to fuel their artistic endeavors.
The Community Arts Grants program provides a transformative opportunity for nonprofit organizations to complete artistic projects and initiatives that benefit the local community. Nonprofits interested in projects like public art installations (murals, sculptures, etc.), art-focused events or performances, or art instruction are encouraged to apply.
"The Hernando County Fine Arts Council recognizes the invaluable role that nonprofits and civic groups play in fostering artistic expression and cultural growth," said Allisa Babor, Chair of Hernando Arts Council. "We hope to support nonprofits in bringing their artistic visions to life and create meaningful experiences for the Hernando County community with this program.”
The application process for the Community Arts Grants is now open to all eligible nonprofit organizations in Hernando County. Interested nonprofits should visit the HCFAC website at www.hernandoarts.org/cag to access the online application form. The deadline for submissions is October 6, 2023, at 9:00 PM.
